Special properties of the pure polyester PETP make it particularly suitable for the manufacture of precision mechanical parts which must bear high loads and/or are exposed to grinding.

    SPECIAL TYPES

    ERTALYTE TX (LIGHT GREY) PETP

ERTALYTE TX is a polyethylene terephthalate-based compound containing homogenously dispersed stable lubricant. Its special composition brings profit for internally lubricated bearings.

ERTALYTE TX not only has perfect resistance to grinding, but also achieves lower friction rate as well as better interrelation Pressure-Speed compared to ERTALYTE.

    THE MOST IMPORTANT PROPERTIES

• high mechanical resistance, rigidity and hardness
• excellent creep resistance
• low stable friction rate
• excellent resistance to grinding (comparable to nylons)
• very good dimensional stability (better than that of polyacetals)
• physiologically neutral (appropriate for the contact with food)

    APPLICATIONS

• highly loaded bearings: sleeves, thrust washers, guides, etc.
• dimension-stable components of precision mechanisms:
• sleeves, guides, gear wheels, rollers, pump components, etc.
• electrotechnical insulation elements.
